Black Street
My friend Dick Donner gave me a tip the other night. He told me to have "my man"--which is how he always refers to Manolo--go to a video store right away. As an aside, he addresses Manolo the same way in person: as "my man." Two quite different meanings I supposed, but then again it is Dick doing the talking. He told me to rent Black Rain and Wall Street and watch the visuals of the former with the audio of the latter. As you may know and as I did not, they are also both exactly the same length. Anyway, with Constance away it was an interesting way to burn the wax off the day. I don't want to spoil any surprises if you wish to repeat the experiment, but let's leave it at this: Michael Douglas always says the same thing when riding on an airplane. Scotty is throwing a small party to celebrate the special edition of Man on Fire on home video so I'll close here. Peace be upon you, Diary.
