The following is a work of fiction.
Not Nick Nolte's Diary, Malibu, CaliforniaApril 23, 2005
Over
Someone has seen fit to release a bonus edition of Deep on DVD. The studio has arranged for me to record a commentary on the film. I've done voice over work before but with this there is no script. Only me, a mic, and a thousand fathoms of memories. And some ice water as my voice gets dry when speaking into those old radio microphones they still use. It will be difficult to work out what should be said and what should be left unsaid. No, I will not record the commentary with anyone else who worked on it, but Yates and Bisset are on board. I guess I will have to speak for Bobby Shaw. They should also include my diving double, he did more acting that I did. When I saw the picture I was amazed my character wasn't hunting for gold in the shipwreck, but rather morphine. That's what you get for reading the script without your glasses. I think that should be left unsaid. I will let you know how it goes down, Diary.
