Success
Life glowed brightly last night. Manolo's trademark Turkey and squash stuffing smelled good. Johnny had three helpings. I and Neil enjoyed the risotto made from Okinawan short grain. Johnny had a good time calling Jeff "Jeff Daniels" all night. Jeff can take a joke. Neil appreciated the Trivial Pursuit. It's the edition that has the typos with his name. Some of the questions and answers were mixed up at the printing press, so this edition has Neil making arrests for the Reichstag firebombing and the "boomer rocker" who buys the Lionel train company is Adolph Hitler. If only. There will be no forgetting the moment when I stepped outside onto the back porch to get a lungful of fresh air and gaze up at the mountains. I turned back to the living room to see warmth and levity high on a Bruegelian scale. Only you can't auction a night in with friends like you can a painting. Well I guess you can if it's for charity.
